Doctor's Day Gifts
While every day is a good day to show appreciation to that great doctor, National Doctors' Day is March 30. A gift basket delivered to your favorite physician is a great way to show your appreciation for all of their hard work! March 30, 1842, was the date that the first ether anesthesia was administered for surgery. Eudora Brown Almond worked to set aside a day to honor doctors in 1933. The House adopted a resolution in 1958, and both the House and Senate, with the approval of the president, established the day to be National Doctors Day in 1990. National Dentist's Day is March 6 every year.
